Overview

Graduates of the Master's degree programme in Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence will gain in-depth knowledge in key areas of intelligent data analysis and artificial intelligence, such as machine learning, neural networks, making predictions, design of intelligent algorithms, random processes, and systems theory. It is familiar with advanced multivariate statistical, simulation and optimization methods and can apply them to solve specific problems in application practice.

The graduate has the appropriate skills in software systems development and to work with different types of mathematical software. The graduate has knowledge and skills in working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data The graduate can actively search for relevant information, methods and tools and use them in solving practical tasks, including modification of established procedures.

The graduate's competences consist in the ability to implement the entire life cycle of data processing and analysis using artificial intelligence tools. The graduate is equipped with basic soft skills, has experience of teamwork and is familiar with the basic legal and ethical aspects associated with working with data. Knows examples of data analytics applications outside of mathematics and computer science.

Graduates of the  Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programme from Pavol Jozef Safárik University in Kosice are prepared to work in positions requiring knowledge of data analysis and artificial intelligence (IT sector, banking and insurance sector, marketing agencies, Slovak Academy of Sciences, business chains, state and public administration). He/​she is ready to continue his/​her studies at a related doctoral programme at the Faculty of Science of UPJŠ or other universities at home and abroad.
