Key Facts
The Food Science and Technology program from King Faisal University aim to qualify students scientifically, enabling them to work in food and dairy factories, as well as in healthcare facilities, both public and private, and preparing them to participate in scientific research and community service.
Courses have been selected to provide a comprehensive overview of basic sciences in the fields of food science and nutrition. Applied courses have also been chosen, focusing on areas closely related to the food industry in Saudi Arabia, to ensure students gain a solid understanding of the specialization's core areas and provide them with the necessary diversity and flexibility to qualify for future roles in food technology and manufacturing.

General requirements
- The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in Agricultural and food sciences from King Faisal University or equivalent Universities at a rate not less than (very good). In some cases, based on the recommendation of the department council and the approval of the college council, the admission of the student with a high (good) assessment may be obtained, in case that his average is not less than (very good) in the specialization courses for the bachelor's degree.
- The applicant must pass the personal interview or any other examinations conducted by the department.
- Students are required to take at least 400 TOEFL or equivalent tests or to pass the intensive English language program at the University.
- Students may be admitted to study for a fee
