General requirements
- A degree (ordinary or honours) from a UK Higher Education Institution, or degree of an equivalent standard from an institution outside the UK. The degree should be in the subject to be taught, either Chemistry or Physics. It must contain at least 80 credits SCQF in the relevant subject. This should include 40 credits at SCQF Level 7 and 40 credits SCQF Level 8 or above of Chemistry or Physics.
- SQA Higher English (C); or both GCSE English Language and English Literature Grade B/6; or Communications 4 and Literature 1.
- SQA National 5 Mathematics (C) or equivalent such as SQA National 5 Applications of Mathematics, Intermediate 2, Standard Grade, GCSE.
