The Biomedical Sciences - Science Communication programme from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is a transdisciplinary programme that gives you insights in the fundamentals of science, communication and science communication. You develop an in-depth understanding of communication processes between scientists of different disciplines, between different sciences and their stakeholders, and between science and citizens.

Your previous education needs to be deemed equivalent to at least a Dutch academic Bachelor’s degree obtained at a research university (nominal duration 3 years).

A minimum of 24 ECTS in Molecular biology, including at least 3 ECTS in each of the topics mentioned below:

Cell Biology;

Biochemistry;

Genetics.

A minimum of 24 ECTS in Human biology, including at least 3 ECTS in each of the topics mentioned below:

Immunology;

(Medical) Microbiology

At least one course in Statistics
