General requirements
To apply for this course, you'll need at least a 2:2 or equivalent degree in one of the following subjects:
- physical sciences
- maths
- engineering
- earth sciences
- chemistry
Other degree qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you don't have a degree in maths or studied some maths as part of your degree, you'll also need an A level or equivalent qualification in maths.
When you apply you’ll need to submit a personal statement explaining why you want to take the course. You’ll need to include information about:
- your knowledge of the subject area
- why you want to study a postgraduate qualification in this course
- how you intend to use your qualification
You'll also need to submit two academic references.
