Description

Commonwealth shared scholarships are for international postgraduate students from developing Commonwealth countries who may not otherwise be able to study in the United Kingdom. They are offered on specific courses.

costs for a mandatory tuberculosis test 

Eligibility

 To get this scholarship you must:

  • apply to study an eligible course
  • be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country
  • be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • be available to start your studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September
  • achieve a first or upper second class (2:1) honours standard or have a second class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a master’s degree) by September
  • not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a high income country
  • be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship
  • commit to return to your home country within one month of the end date of the scholarship
  • meet the required English language requirements by the end of February

This scholarship is awarded in partnership with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and must be applied to through their website.  You will be asked to create an account and will then fill out an online form.

You will need to complete your scholarship application by 9 December, 4pm (UK time). You don't need to apply for a course before this deadline.
