Description

The Sanctuary Scholarships are available for new Undergraduate (UG) and new Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students, starting September. Our Sanctuary Scholarship supports 2 students per year who are seeking sanctuary in the UK, 1 Undergraduate and 1 Postgraduate.

Benefits

The University of Southampton will:

cover 100% of tuition fee costs for each year of study (3 years for UG and 1 year for PGT)

provide a bursary for each year of study to help with additional study costs (this is flexible given individual circumstances)

provide a welcome pack

support with university accommodation (if you have specific requirements, please contact the Sanctuary Coordinator

Eligibility

Applicants for the Sanctuary Scholarship will need to:

  • hold an offer from the University of Southampton to study on either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught course.

They will also need:

  • to be an asylum seeker *- a person who has made a claim within the UK for refugee status, or,
  • to be a person who has been granted some form of temporary status* - such as limited leave to remain etc.
