Overview
The Masters program at the University of Salzburg offers a unique learning environment with an excellent student-teacher ratio.
Key features
A key part of the Chemistry and Physics of Materials course is to explore the link between chemical and physical properties of materials and the consequence they have on the function of a particular component (e.g. mechanical stability, environmental impact, biocompatibility etc.). In addition to this, students will also learn about how materials can be optimally selected for a given function and processed from the raw material to the product.
The course aims to create awareness for materials life cycles and cradle to cradle concepts. As future materials scientists we have the challenge to produce sustainable and recyclable materials fundamental in today’s world of diminishing resources.
