Programme Objective
As a graduate of the Artificial Intelligence programme, you will have a solid understanding of the logical, philosophical, and cognitive foundations of AI research. You will also have a good overview of the main AI techniques and an in-depth understanding of how to apply these techniques in at least one of theareas within Agent Theory, Humand and Machine Rasoning, or Cognitive Modelling.
In addition, you will have the skills to carry out AI research in academic or R&D environments and to identify how AI techniques can provide intelligent solutions to IT problems in companies and organisations.
Career Prospects
In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has turned from a niche area into mainstream computer science. Major companies such as Google, IBM, and Facebook are now seriously investing in AI research. Both Google and Facebook have recently bought several AI start-ups.
It is expected that AI will be at the heart of new IT developments in areas like knowledge automation, (semi-) autonomous vehicles, the Internet, and advanced robotics.

This is a selective master. You will be considered for admission to the Master's programme Artificial Intelligence if you hold a University bachelor degree and can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and command of methods and skills in the relevant field.

- General high level of professional and intellectual ability;
- Command of the English language
