Overview

The curriculum emphasizes practical skills through specialized AI courses and industry internships, preparing graduates for leadership roles in AI-driven initiatives. The program includes international mobility, allowing students to gain diverse perspectives and experiences in three different European countries.

The programme is designed to attract applicants with various backgrounds in business and information technology within and outside the EU. It is in line with the latest labour market as well as research, development and innovation needs, involving the collaboration of academics, companies, cities, NGOs, and our local communities as well as the collaboration with the Ulysseus Innovation Hub in Haaga-Helia UAS.

AI for Business Transformation is a two-year, 120 ECTS joint degree Master program coordinated by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (HH) and offered jointly with other Ulysseus European University alliance member institutions: the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Université Côte d’Azur (Unica), University of Genoa (Unige), and University of Seville (USE).

The AI for Business Transformation programme provides skills and competences required to work in positions situated at the crossroads of business and AI technologies. After completing the studies, the graduates will have gained an overview of how AI technologies such as machine learning, including generative AI, intelligent automation and knowledge engineering may be applied in an ethical and sustainable manner in business. Through experience gained in various real-world challenges and through evaluating the effectiveness of various AI-driven methods, the graduates will have the knowledge and skills to plan, develop and implement AI-driven business transformation projects.

Internationality: The programme includes a mandatory exchange period at MCI, Austria, and a second mandatory semester either at USE, Spain or at TUKE, Slovakia. The choice of the specialization module determines the host institution of the third semester.

Employment opportunities

The expertise gained through the AI for Business Transformation programme provides the skills and competences required to work in positions situated at the crossroads of business and AI technologies. The graduates will have the knowledge and skills to plan, develop and implement AI-driven business transformation projects. They are prepared for various expert and leadership roles such as manager of ICT service development projects, business analyst, AI specialist, IT-consultant and trainer. The degree offers further study possibilities. The student may continue towards doctoral studies or toward the pedagogical studies of a teacher, among others. Both of these are offered in the institutions of the consortium.

Application criteria:

a Bachelor’s (or a higher) degree in the field of ICT (information and communication technology) or Business and at least two years (24 months) of general work experience after completing your Bachelor´s Degree and completed before 31 December 2024. There must be at least 15 ECTS of ICT studies and at least 20 ECTS of business studies in your degree.

Another appropriate Bachelor’s (or a higher) degree and at least two years (24 months) of work experience in the field of ICT (information and communication technology) or Business, after completing your Bachelor´s degree and completed before 31 December 2024. You should be able to demonstrate that the work experience accumulated corresponds to the amount of 15 ECTS in ICT studies and to 20 ECTS in business studies.
