Learning Outcomes

The Geodesy program from Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University (KATRU) will help you:

Use the skills of modern information (GIS) technology and automated systems (CAD) when performing geodetic, cartographic, design work; study scientific and technical information, and implement advanced domestic and foreign experience;
Possess skills of engineering and geodesic operations and design for conducting surveys, creating height planning networks and performing topographic surveys using various methods, for searching and processing information in foreign languages;
Create digital terrain models and other 3D modeling objects using AutoCAD, KAVE 3D, including using the results of aerial photogrammetric photography to decipher images and build a block phototrangulation;
To know the main problems of modern geodetic science, create topographic and geodetic projects, organize and conduct research projects, predict the economic evaluation of projects in the field of cartographic and geodetic production
Analyze the features of political, historical, psychological institutions in the context of their role in the modernization of Kazakhstan society, as well as the means and methods of scientific knowledge, the ability to use economic knowledge in various fields of activity; determine the economic assessment and effectiveness of geodetic works.
