This Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi's MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology is designed to provide students with the analytical competencies and problem-solving skills to understand the mechanisms and to master the processes through which innovative ideas are developed and turned into market applications. 

About

Students attend a challenging interdisciplinary program that blends strategic, managerial, organizational and economic approaches in order to analyze innovation and technology, both at firm and market levels (including the evaluation of legal implications).

We aim to develop the analytical skills required to understand the dynamics of technology within and across organizations; the decision-making abilities to turn technological opportunities into new ideas; and the problem-solving attitude to make successful innovations out of new ideas.

Learning is facilitated by a wide variety of courses, by thematic workshops, and by direct involvement in ongoing international research projects, including the opportunity to interact with the most important scholars and managers in the sector.

Graduates of this Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi's MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology are prepared to cover a number of different roles related to the analysis and management of innovation projects in consulting companies, multinational and high-tech firms, international organizations, regulatory authorities, or to work as researchers for the development and launch of new products. Moreover, the program prepares graduates to create and launch their own entrepreneurial business or undertake a PhD program in economics or strategy.

    C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

Academic Requirements

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

International applicants

In all the selection rounds, International applicants are selected on the basis of a process that takes into consideration all elements of their profile, focusing on three components:

  • Results of the GMAT (or GRE) test
  • Grade point average of exams passed in the Undergraduate program
  • Evaluation of the applicant's Curriculum vitae / Resumée and Personal statement, possibility of personal assessment interview.
