Overview
This master’s degree aims at providing a solid theoretical and practical training to the school governing bodies and leaders of other social organizations.
The master’s degree in Education Sciences - Educational Administration is organized in credit units, structured in 4 semesters: two dedicated to the curricular component (focusing in scientific areas of Education, Educational Sciences, Social Sciences, Management and Law), and the last two are dedicated to the formulation of a dissertation. As an alternative to the dissertation, students from University of Madeira may choose to do an internship in schools, or to create a project work and respective report.
Overview
With the approval of the curricular component of this master’s degree (first academic year), students are eligible to have a Post-Graduate degree diploma in Educational Administration.
This degree’s objective is to develop critical analysis, research and diffusion of school’s knowledge skills, processes and organization practices, leadership, administrative and pedagogic management; conception, management, and project evaluation skills, aiming at the educational development and innovation.
Careers
Graduates of this master’s degree will be able to practice functions in school’s management departments; carry out advisory roles in the administrative and school management bodies; carry out intermediate management and leadership roles, as well as roles in training centre’s management.
