Overview
You will be taught to harness the power of data and statistics in addition to learning analysis tools such as R and Python. The knowledge and skills you learn will provide you with a platform to work across a variety of industries, go into research or undertake a PhD. With our Applied Statistics and Data Science programme offered at Queen Mary University of London you will learn the core fundamentals of statistics and machine learning, together with the relevant software.
What you'll study
You will also learn about applications of these methods in areas such as business, biostatistics, medical statistics and survey sampling. This programme is delivered across three semesters.
During the third semester, over the summer, you will work on a research project which will allow you to develop strong applied data science research skills.
Career paths
Successful completion of this degree will provide you with opportunities to go into industry in areas such as clinical trials, Big Pharma, Big Tech, psychology and Government agencies.
