Overview
You will develop enhanced assessment, diagnostic and disease management skills and have the opportunity to carry out studies for non-medical prescribing.
Throughout your studies, you will refine critical research and analytical skills in relation to clinical practice and develop professional reflective practice techniques.
The Advanced Practice in Health Care programme from Swansea University consists of core modules which are mapped against the four pillars of advanced practice which are set out within Welsh advanced practice framework. This equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop your practice.
As practitioners working in clinical practice we constantly review the course to reflect the current needs of the health care community. Our academic team is made up of professionals who are active in their specialities including advanced practitioners and a medical practitioner. We work in partnership with local health boards and the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust in the selection of all applicants for this programme.
