This Computational Engineering programme from Swansea University harnesses the expertise of academic staff to provide you with world class postgraduate training.
Our globally renowned engineers pioneer the development of numerical techniques such as the finite element method, as well as computational procedures that help to solve complex engineering problems.
You will gain a practical understanding of computer modelling, and how it plays a critical role in engineering, science and emerging areas of interdisciplinary research.
Accredited by the JBM, this MSc also gives a comprehensive foundation in the finite element method in engineering mechanics.
Your Computational Engineering Experience
Your studies will be based at the Zienkiewicz Centre for Computational Engineering, which has excellent computing facilities including a state-of-the-art multi-processor supercomputer, with virtual reality facilities and high-speed networking.
Our diverse international community of over 500 postgraduate students and 120 research staff at the College of Engineering will help to shape your work.

General requirements
- Usually the entry requirements for the MSc Computational Engineering course is a first or second class honours degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or similar relevant science discipline. You will also need to have an overall mark of at least 55%, however performance in key modules will also be considered.
