The Master Degree in Data Science from University of Messina has three paths. After a common path (the first year) the study plan evolves over: ICT, Economy, and Forensics.

Professors of the Master's Degree have an intense scientific activity focused on emerging research topics in the area of Computer Science such as distributed systems, software engineering, computer security, Cloud/Edge/Fog computing, Internet of Things (IoT), numerical analysis, artificial intelligence (machine and deep learning) and Big Data management and analytics. Furthermore, different research groups are linked to the Master's Degree making the subjects studied in this innovative and cutting-edge.

Furthermore, the Master's Degree is also placed in an active context where the MIFT Department of the Univerisity of Messina operates in different international and national research projects in both academic and industrial domains focusing on emerging computer science topics. This offers students many scholarship opportunities and to have close contact with the work world through enterprise and scientific research internships during which can be developed an experimental thesis that represents a launchpad for their professional career.

Mandatory Documents

1. the application form
2. a copy of their currently valid Refugee Identity card issued in collaboration with UNHCR;
3. a certificate confirming the qualification required for admission to the chosen degree programme;
4. transcripts of exams passed and relative grades;
5. GPA documentation or equivalent grade point average (as for attachment 2 of this call);
6. any relevant and additional document required for the admission to the chosen degree course.

Not mandatory documents

1. Motivational letter (maximum two A4 pages);
2. references from a supervisor or advisor;
3. candidates are warmly recommended to shoot a short video CV (e.g. using their mobile phone) in order to introduce themselves and explain their motivations (examples of such videos can be found on the Internet).
