This Executive MBA program at University of Calgary is designed for mid to senior career professionals and will give you the tools to drive change in your organization. We know you’re busy – that’s why your regular classes are scheduled every other Friday and Saturday, plus three block weeks throughout the program. Complete your degree while you work and immediately apply your learnings.
The Haskayne EMBA will elevate your leadership skills. Your program begins with an advanced leadership course in Banff, where you’ll gain tools and insights you can apply to your leadership style. In addition to leadership building opportunities in your coursework, you can also take advantage of executive coaching to help you navigate your career.

General requirements
- A GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or higher in the last two years of a four year undergraduate degree from an accredited university AND at least seven years’ progressive work experience; OR
- A GPA of less than 3.0 (out of 4.0) in a university degree as described above AND at least seven years’ progressive work experience AND a score of 140 or higher on the Executive Assessment or a score of 500 or higher on the GMAT exam; OR
- At least ten years’ progressive work experience AND a score of 140 or higher on the Executive Assessment or a score of 500 or higher on the GMAT exam.
- Applicants will be asked to answer two short essay questions:
- How, considering your career progress to date, does an EMBA fit in with your future career goals? Please describe. (250 words)
- When thinking of your own personal successes, were they a result of your own personal skills or your ability to work with others? Please describe. (250 words)
