History
The auditoria are built on or adjacent to the campuses of University of Alberta and UAC. Jack Simpson, future namesake of the Jack Simpson Gymnasium, is involved in the construction of both auditoria. Convocation takes place at the Jubilee Auditorium until 1982.

When you arrive in Calgary, you may need to arrange a short-term place to stay if you arrive early or to give you time to find a long-term off-campus rental.We strongly recommend that you plan to stay somewhere short-term, to avoid agreeing to a long-term rental without first meeting the landlord, visiting and inspecting the property, and testing out commute options from the property to UCalgary campus.Living on campus is a great option for international students. Students who choose to live on-campus do so because it allows you to be conveniently located close to your classes as well as other campus resources and provides great opportunities for meeting other students.
