Overview

The Aeronautical Engineering Master is offered by Sapienza University of Rome. The education it provides is primarily aimed at developing the most advanced research and design tools and innovation in the aeronautics industry, with particular attention to improving efficiency, reducing weight and reducing chemical and noise pollution.

These skills are achievable thanks to the further deepening of the solid knowledge already acquired during the Bachelors Degree that the two-year study programme of the Masters Degree provides, in terms of methodology and practice. The training course includes a first year common to all curricula and divided into 6 modules for a total of 54 credits, during which knowledge is consolidated in the sectors characterizing aeronautical engineering (gas dynamics, aeronautical structures, flight dynamics , aeronautical engines) and the basics are provided in sectors not included in the three-year degree such as control systems.

General requirements

Candidates are required to have a Master degree in Earth Sciences according to the European Qualification Framework.

Persons that have a degree issued by non-EU universities can be admitted to the course in the case that the Scientific Educational Council recognizes it sufficient for admission.

The course will be financed by tuition fees, contributions from ENOS project and possible donations by other public and private institutions, within their national regulations. Teacher mobility will be financed through those sources, while extra expenses for student mobility (travel, food and accommodation expenses) will be covered by each student. Between 8 and 10 students are planned and reduction of the tuition fee is planned during the ENOS project, dependable on the number of students.
