Overview

The Finance and Strategy programme from Sciences Po is taught in English with the option of taking some courses in French. It is completed over two years with an increasing specialisation throughout the programme.

Key Features

In the first year, a series of compulsory courses give students in-depth knowledge of key concepts in finance, linking these to commercial development and competition.
An optional gap year between the first and second year of the Master’s programme gives students the opportunity to gain full-time professional experience and to refine their career plans through two six-month internships completed at different organisations.
During the second year, students choose a specialism and build up an advanced level of expertise in one of two concentrations: Finance or Strategy and Management.

Programme Structure

The fundamental strategy and management courses are supplemented by:

elective courses combining theoretical contributions;
illustrations by concrete cases;
testimonials from practitioners;
and cover a wide range of subjects related to the strategic development of companies (external growth, financing, risk management, integration of ESG and sustainability criteria, data and digital).

A personal statement (or 2 statements if you’re applying to 2 programmes), to be written in the dedicated section of your online application.
Official academic transcript(s) (signed and/or stamped) for the entirety of your time in higher education (including periods spent abroad on exchange programmes).
An official or informal translation (the translation can be made by the candidate) in English, if applicable.
Language Test scores (where applicable).
Two academic references. If you have professional experience, we advise you to provide professional references.
Your cumulative grade average (and your graduate cumulative grade average if applicable). Please provide one certificate per degree and/or institution attended.
