Overview

You'll be introduced to the practice of research, undertaking an independent research project. You'll also have the opportunity to choose optional modules. The content of the course modules is informed by the research interests and practice of academic staff who teach them.

The International Journalism course at University of Leeds is designed to cater for students who wish to study journalism at Masters level, perhaps for the first time, and graduates who have a background in journalism.

General requirements

A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (Hons) in: journalism (theory-focused), television science, media-related studies, literature, sociology or politics.
We may give preference to applicants who exceed our entry requirements. Relevant professional experience will also be considered from an applicant with an undergraduate degree in a preferred subject. We may request additional documentation to help inform our decision. Please note that meeting the entry requirements of this course doesn't guarantee an offer of a place.
