Mission

The Theatre program at Yeditepe University focuses on doing academic researches and interdisciplinary works in the field of theatre and supporting the theatre-life in theory and practice through them. The mission of the Graduate School of Social Sciences is to contribute to the society by providing a lifelong education environment in the light of Ataturk's principles and modern science, and through the training of innovative, entrepreneurial and research-oriented graduates at the highest national and international levels of cultural competence and scientific excellence.

Vision

The distinctive feature of the Master’s Program in Theatre Department is its viewpoint for a better MA education and its aim to train creative and promising theatre people, playwrights, dramaturgs, directors, actors/actresses or the like who have a respective intellectual background, critical and academic way of thinking. The vision of the Graduate School of Social Sciences is to provide a lifelong education environment based on the national and international collaborations, and to maintain necessary conditions in order for its alumni to reach highest social and ethical values, expertise, innovativeness and creativity levels as in accordance with and beyond the Information Age.

CV with photograph

A Reference Letter from a Lecturer (Professor or Associate Professor) of the candidate’s BA-education period.
2 Video records and posters of the performances, stagings or the like in which the candidate participated in actively in production process.
Maxium 500 words of an Intention Letter in which the candidate writes his/her intentions and expectations why he/she prefers the Master’s Program Thesis in Theatre Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Yeditepe University and how the academic works of the candidate will contribute to the academic field of theatre in general and to the research fields of Theatre Department.
A Research Proposal that consists of a 5-10 pages of preparation work on which the candidate intends to make an academic research. (In the Research proposal is required: Title / The aim, the target and the frame of the research/ the method of the research/ Reference books)
