Overview
The University of Kassel's unique Labour Policies and Globalisation global programme is jointly developed by universities and workers organisations from around the world.
It aims at candidates with experience in labour and social movements willing to assist organisations in these fields in engaging more effectively in social dialogue, public debate, and policy implementation. The programme offers a multicultural and multiregional environment with students and lecturers from developing, transition and industrialised countries.
The programme is a one year joint degree programme of the University of Kassel and the Berlin School of Economics.
Students at the University of Kassel will:
- analyse and discuss the challenges of globalisation from a labour and trade union perspective in a multidisciplinary context.
- have the possibility to pursue a double degree with the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa
- have the possibility of doing an exchange semesters at the GLU programme in Brazil or India. Women are strongly encouraged to participate.
