Overview

Within this Clinical Education M.Ed degree from University of Leeds whether you're from clinical settings or Higher Education institutions, this course will develop your understanding of the education and assessment of the next generation of clinical practitioners.

With us, you will:

debate and discuss the central themes and issues in clinical education
explore the differences between clinical and educational research
undertake introductory research training in educational research
design and conduct small-scale empirical research on a topic relevant to the clinical education workplace.

You will complete the first year (PGCert year) with two compulsory modules, delivered using flexible blended learning. There are also two compulsory modules in the second year (PGDip year) which all students need to complete in a specified order.

A bachelor (hons) degree in a health-related subject with at least a 2:2. Entry on the appropriate professional register
Due to the nature of blended teaching in the first year of the programme (PG Cert level), the first year is not available to study by applicants who are outside the UK. Direct entry to year 2 of the programme (PG Dip level) is available to international applicants who already have a PG Cert in Clinical, Medical or Healthcare Professional Education.
