The Environment and Resource Management - Global Sustainable Futures programme from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offers you the opportunity to mix and match different courses offered by IVM and other faculties and departments at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. At the same time, this specialisation will give you a clear focus on environmental and sustainability themes. Your course choices will depend on your specific interests and capabilities.

With a Master’s degree in Environment and Resource Management, you have excellent employment prospects. Start working as a project manager at an NGO, choose a role in the private or public sector, or work for a (environmental) consultancy. Throughout the programme, various training modules are offered to increase your employability.

Your previous education needs to be deemed equivalent to at least a Dutch academic Bachelor’s degree obtained at a research university (nominal duration 3 years).

Programme specific requirements

Affinity with Environmental Sciences or Sustainability: proven by previous study programme, courses, thesis or relevant (volunteering) work experience, expressed in a motivation statement or curriculum vitae;
