Overview
This Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management course at Falmouth University has experiential learning at its core with an emphasis on hands-on learning, in tandem with traditional classroom theories, providing a contextualised understanding of the principles and practice of entrepreneurship. Working within a timetable that allows you to develop new products or build your business alongside your studies, you’ll engage in real-world scenarios that foster the development of innovative, high-impact ideas and develop your entrepreneurial mindset. The aim of this programme is to develop students’ understanding of the practical application of contemporary entrepreneurship and innovation management. You’ll graduate with a range of practical business development skills to support existing businesses, or to create your own start-up.
By situating the course at the intersection of theory and practice, you can choose your own approach to this subject either as theorist or practitioner, leading to many future career options.
You will graduate with:
- The ability to operate in an Executive capacity in your own firm, with a team of co-founders or to operate in an entrepreneurial fashion in a larger organisation
- The knowledge to develop your own business and take innovative propositions to market
- The capability to identify, attract, develop and manage collaborative teams for new business opportunities or new divisions of your current firm.
- The knowledge of managing new product development

- A 2:2 honours degree (or above) or Level 6 equivalent qualification is desirable. However, candidates without a degree or formal qualification are still encouraged to apply, if they have significant relevant work experience. If you'd like to discuss our entry requirements, speak to an advisor.
- Start-ups and innovators require a number of skill sets, so we'll consider applications from people with a wide variety of graduate and professional backgrounds who possess a clear interest in starting a business or increasing innovation in an existing business.
