Overview
The graduate of this Aerospace Engineering programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) has knowledge of aerospace engine, airframe and avionics systems beyond the standards and norms of education of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The study programme allows the choice of profiling the graduate either in the field of avionics systems or aircraft operation and construction in accordance with the requirements of practice and international standards and procedures in the education of aviation specialists. The study programme is also aimed at acquiring students' competencies so that they can participate in investigating the causes of accidents and disasters and propose measures to prevent similar accidents.
Learning outcomes
A graduate can:
- work as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the environment of aerospace engineering and in leading positions,
- independently solve technical tasks in the application to on-board aircraft and space systems and their propulsion systems,
- behave professionally in all areas of your activity with an emphasis on ethical standards in the area of your work contacts within production and maintenance facilities,
- work as a leading technician (mechanic, avionics) on aviation technology,
- communicate detailed information, advanced concepts, problems and creative approaches to their solution in the field of aerospace technology to professional and lay audiences.

General requirements
- a completed application for university studies of the first level
- a certified copy of the completed secondary education with a certified translation into the Slovak language
- the decision on recognition of completed education (validation) issued by the Regional Office Košice, Department of Education, Zádielska 1, 040 33 Košice
- a certified copy of the transcript of records covering all the years of secondary education with a certified translation into Slovak. If the length of secondary education studies exceeds four years then a certified copy of transcript of records covering the last four years of study at secondary school is required
- Curriculum Vitae in Slovak (or English, according to the language in which the applicant will study) signed by the applicant
- a copy of passport
- a proof of payment of the handling fee for the admission procedure (can be submitted to the Study department no later than the date of enrolment)
