Overview
High-speed rail, the Betuwe freight railway, dyke improvements and the ‘Manhattan on the Meuse’ development project in Rotterdam are all technically feasible projects. Technology, however, is not the only determining factor for successful results. Many other factors need to be taken into account early in the planning phase of real estate and infrastructure projects: policy, political interests, participation and permits, land expropriation, environmental impact studies, costs, budgeting and price control, logistic efficiency and safety. All of these factors are addressed in the Civil Engineering and Management programme offered by University of Twente (UT)
Careers
Companies are increasingly seeking engineers who are true process thinkers, and who can oversee, analyse and predict all aspects of the design and execution of civil engineering projects. The Master’s programme in Civil Engineering and Management will train you to be exactly that kind of engineer. You will be equipped to combine the technical and non-technical aspects of major infrastructure and construction projects.
Accreditation
The programme holds NVAO accreditation.
