Overview
Every student in the Euroculture - Society, Politics and Culture in a Global Context program at Jagiellonian University follows a unique study track based on their mobility choices, and finishes with a master's joint degree or double degree (120 ECTS) from 2 participating universities.
What you'll study
The first semester of the Euroculture programme is devoted to an interdisciplinary initiation to core concepts and central topics for understanding modern European society through disciplines including history, political science, law, sociology, and religious studies. You will learn about and explore the local, national, European and global processes in which culture and power overlap today.
EU students also have the opportunity to apply for a grant to study at one of Jagiellonian University's 3rd country partner universities outside of Europe (Pune, IUPUI, UNAM, Osaka).

General requirements
- Candidates must have completed an academic Bachelor degree in a discipline of relevance to Euroculture. Erasmus Mundus scholarship applicants must upload a copy of their Bachelor’s diploma by 10 January at the latest*. Those applying as self-financing students can send their copy of their Bachelor’s diploma after the application deadline to euroculture@rug.nl, but the Bachelor’s degree has to be obtained by 1 September of the academic year when the applicant would like to start the programme.
Examples of a matching educational background :a degree in the Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences, such as: European studies, History, International Relations, Cultural studies, Literature, Sociology, Political Sciences, Anthropology, Philosophy, Communication and Media Studies, International/ European Law, Theology.
