Professionals with a Master’s degree in IEM are in high demand on the job market, even in economically tough times. On average, our graduates have a job within one month of graduation; 95% have one within six months. Most of these jobs are challenging and well-paid.

GRE admission requirements GRE® The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. It contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

GMAT admission requirements GMAT The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. GMAT contains 4 sections - Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The score has a range from 200 - 800.

TOEFL admission requirements TOEFL® IBT The TOEFL iBT® is given online through the internet at designated testing site. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.

  • Bachelor degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of the following topics: Statistics and Probability, Mathematics. Specialization related topics: Operation Research, Simulation, Financial topics
  • Copy of diploma
  • Transcript of records
  • CGPA as mentioned in the UT’s Country list or at least a CGPA of 80% of the maximum score.
  • For candidates that received their Bachelor’s degree in a country ratified the Lisbon Convention, an equivalent to the Dutch VWO Matehematics B. You can find a list with equivalent diploma here.
  • Course descriptions of the courses which address mathematical topics and a reference list of literature of these courses.

Funding

The University of Twente offers excellent students the possibility to enrol in UT master’s programmes with a scholarship. These scholarships vary from government grants to funding by organizations or private persons. In addition, faculties and the University of Twente Scholarship Foundation (UTS) offer a limited number of scholarships to excellent students.
