Thus, the goal is to train qualified expert psychological counselors who are familiar with the concepts, principles, and techniques of contemporary psychological counseling science and who can effectively manage guidance and psychological counseling services in various institutions and organizations, including those needed in educational institutions. Graduates of the Thesis Program can apply to doctoral programs and work as academics in universities.

The language of instruction for the Master's Program in Guidance and Counseling (Thesis / Non-Thesis) from Yeditepe University is English.

The program consists of 21 credits (120 ECTS), including five compulsory courses, two elective courses, a seminar, and a thesis. The three preparatory scientific courses in the program are applicable to students graduating from the Faculty of Education, those coming from fields other than Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and those coming from the field of Psychology.
The language of instruction for the non-thesis program is Turkish. The program consists of 30 credits (100 ECTS), including eight compulsory courses, two elective courses, and a project. There is no academic preparation required in the non-thesis program.

Foreign Language Exam results certificate (obtained within the last five years; at least 55 points from the YDS or YÖKDİL exams or at least 66 points from the TOEFL IBT).
When applying to Master's programs, Yeditepe graduates and those who have graduated from programs taught entirely in English are exempt from the language proficiency requirement.
