General requirements
- Applicants should have at least a lower second-class honours degree relevant to secondary education in or related to the subject area the candidate is applying for.
- GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade 4 (Grade C for those sitting their GCSE before 2017) or above, or an equivalent award including some equivalency tests, are required prior to the course start (Evidence should usually be provided by 1 September). Functional Skills and the Certificate in Adult Numeracy/Literacy are not accepted in place of GCSEs.
