Through the Applied Research (Optional Co-op) , students work in interdisciplinary teams to gain practical hands-on experience in research methodologies, data analytics, data visualization, and knowledge mobilization techniques.

Conestoga College facilitates recruitment on an ongoing basis - there are no hard deadlines. Typical time frames for work terms are listed below.

Postings are accepted beginning four months before the start of a term until all students have secured employment provided the minimum 12 consecutive weeks of full-time work is met.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to address government and industry challenges

Conduct programme evaluations

Apply statistical techniques to analyze data

Develop and manage research budgets

Communicate research findings in research reports and presentations

Lead knowledge mobilization initiatives

Internationally trained immigrants (newcomers to Canada)
Full-time internationally trained (immigrants) applications are completed through ontariocolleges.ca.
Applicants with documents (transcripts) from educational institutions outside of Canada, or where the language of instruction was not English, must have their documents evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service to demonstrate English language proficiency.
Conestoga College provides credential assessments. To request an assessment, applicants can complete the Assessment of International Credentials for Admissions and Credit Transfer online form. These assessments are for use at Conestoga only, and all documents must be translated into English before evaluation. If applicants require a more diverse assessment, they should have an ICAS or WES evaluation completed.
