Overview

The MSc in Data Science and Information Technologies (DSIT) at NKUA is by its very nature intensely interdisciplinary. Its objective is to strengthen the skills of its students with an emphasis in Data Science, Big Data, AI, applied mathematics, statistical methods, as well as their applications in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Data Science, and the Life Sciences in general.

The Program focuses on subjects related to the management, processing, analysis, and software for massive or complex data, in addition to machine learning and AI technologies, as well as on mathematical models, algorithms, statistical analysis, and image analysis methods for computational and structural biology, bioinformatics, and systems biology, in the era of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other heterogeneous

-omics data used for improving human health. Our graduates are fully equipped with a number of important skills that is allowing them to continue their career in research, typically towards a PhD, to join a wide spectrum of industrial labs and organizations, or even to create their own companies in the aforementioned and other related domains.
