Your previous education needs to be deemed equivalent to at least a Dutch academic Bachelor’s degree obtained at a research university (nominal duration 3 years).
To be admitted into the MA programme Classics and Ancient Civilizations; track Ancient Studies you are expected to meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Classics (Griekse en Latijnse Taal en Cultuur);
- Ancient Studies (Oudheidwetenschappen);
- History with Ancient History as specialization;
- Archaeology;
- Religious Studies;
- Assyriology;
- Philosophy;
- A similar degree programme with a relevant specialization
the ability to carry out a survey of primary sources (literary or material) and secondary literature and to derive from this a 'status quaestionis'.
