Overview

During the Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation course from University of Warwick, you will develop your management and consulting skills for a professional career in which you help businesses to thrive in the digital age. You’ll get the opportunity to tailor your options to your own interests, giving you the opportunity to specialise in IT consultancy or programming/analytics, or gain an understanding of both disciplines. 

We have close relationships with many IT and consulting organisations including EY, Barclays, PA Consulting, Fetch.ai, Google, and Deloitte. All these firms value the WBS focus on developing managers with a creative mindset to integrated IT and digital innovations in business. For several years Deloitte has run an entire module, during which students get insights into the challenges and approaches to client work. 

Not from a business background? We welcome students from a variety of undergraduate degrees and value the unique perspectives that students from all courses bring to the classroom. 

Careers

Graduates from these courses have gone on to work for employers including: Accenture, Bank of America, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, IBM, KPMG and NHS. They have pursued roles such as: Analysts, Business Technology Consultants, Operational Risk Managers and Project Developers.

  • Study six compulsory modules before specialising with a selection of options over the duration of this one year course. Gain an excellent foundation in management theory and practical use of information systems, and learn to manage digital innovation to achieve business value. Our elective modules make it possible to specialise in IT consultancy or programming/analytics, or to combine electives in these areas.

  • You must have, or be expecting, an upper second class honours at Undergraduate level. We welcome applications from a broad range of disciplines.
  • Don’t worry if you haven’t got prior IT experience because this course is not designed as a ‘tools and techniques’ course. We do not require you to have prior knowledge of information technology.
