Overview
Meteorology at COMSATS University Islamabad is a home of multidisciplinary fields and offer specialties ranging from Meteorology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Geography, Geodesy and Geographical Information System. The Department was established in 2005 and it is actively engaged in research and teaching activities. Apart from research and teaching, the Department frequently conducts seminars, workshops and organizes national and international conferences.
Learning Goals
The Department is also offering MS program in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS), whose graduate will have an option to undertake research in the arena of RS and GIS, Agriculture and Forest, Oceanography, Land Use and Land Cover, Hydrology and Water Resources, Glacier Monitoring, Urban Planning and Sustainable Development, Coastal Monitoring.

- A 16 years degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution, with minimum First division ( annual system) or CGPA 2.5/4.0 (semester system) and no third division ( annual system) or 'D' grade (Semester system) throughout the academic career.
