Overview

At the Psychology MSc programme offered at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam you will learn to approach complex problems from an academic perspective. You will also develop practical skills that you will apply in different contexts and with different target groups within your chosen track.

There is a strong link with professional practice in the courses as well as in the master’s thesis and internship. In this way, you will be trained as a scientist-practitioner and you will be able to solve practical problems in a scientific way.

Future opportunities

As a psychologist with a master’s degree, you can often find a suitable job quickly.
You can also follow various postgraduate courses that train you to become a healthcare psychologist or a psychotherapist, for example.

Promotion alumni sessions Master’s day

During the Master’s day, you can also meet our (international) alumni during several workshops. In these sessions they will tell you more about career opportunities after finishing your Master’s degree.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent.
Typically, successful students in this programme have at least a 7,0 average grade (or an equivalent GPA score).
