The programme is based on a broader concept of agriculture, where farms combine primary agricultural production, environmental protection and other activities such as processing and sale of products on the farm, agrotourism or some aspects of social agriculture.
The study Multifunctional Agriculture at the University of South Bohemia in Ceské Budejovice (USB) primarily targets foreign students and it is taught in English. It is designed to provide the students with sufficient information for agricultural production and management of agricultural landscape. Emphasis is also placed on the acquisition of work with literature and the ability to solve specific problems.
The degree programme is divided into four thematically linked semesters: biological base of agriculture, conventional farming, organic farming and landscape management.
Students can study the whole study programme and obtain the master degree or study only a selected semester (in case of Erasmus+ exchanges mobilities).
