Positive psychology is the scientific study of strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive in their personal live, schools and universities, companies, and mental health care. You focus on people's strengths and talents and study concepts like creativity, happiness, developing talents and strengths, adaptive power, and psychological well-being. You will study these concepts in the context of individuals, personal life, health, education, entrepreneurship, and society in general.
- Instead of focusing on preventing human disfunctioning, a positive psychologist recognizes and trains people’s character strengths to promote optimal flourishing in work, relationships, and personal development.

In the master's track Positive Psychology and Well-being you’ll deal with concepts like positive development and growth, creativity, happiness, talents, character strengths, adaptive power, psychological well-being, and factors which enable individuals and systems to achieve these concepts. General requirements
- Bachelor's and/or a master's degree in psychology
- You can apply for admission BEFORE you have graduated, but you must have graduated by September 1 at the latest. If your graduation ceremony is after September 1, please send an email to your International Admission Coordinator at tsb-admissions@tilburguniversity.edu before you apply to avoid disappointment.
- You cannot be accepted into this master's program without having either a bachelor's or master's degree in Psychology. Work experience or an interest in this field cannot be taken into account for the admission process without a sufficient academic background.
- Advanced knowledge of research methods and statistics.
- Knowledge of the basic psychological subjects.
- Knowledge of specific (major) psychology courses.
- You need to demonstrate proficiency in English (TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, Cambridge C1 advanced or C2 Proficiency).
