The two year 120 ECTS MSc Program in Robotics at Nazarbayev University is designed to prepare students to work as professional scientists and engineers who can excel in academia, public policy, and private business fields in the field of robotics.

Elective courses offered in the program are Human Robot Interaction, Mobile Robotics, Robotic Motion Planning, Humanoid Robotics, Biorobotics and Industrial Robotics. 

The Robotics program at Nazarbayev University intends to prepare graduates for jobs in growing priority sectors of the world, including multiple manufacturing sectors, such as machinery, energy, chemistry, electronics and innovation. Graduates of the program will have advanced research skills that would enable them to explore important questions in intelligent systems and make significant ongoing contributions in technologically diverse and dynamic economic environments, both in Kazakhstan and abroad.

Academic Requirements

    Schedule GRE®

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

General Requirements

  • A minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Strong mathematical skills as demonstrated by ALEKS test administered by the School on a set date. Applicants who provide valid GRE or GMAT test certificate may request exemption from mathematical skills test
  • High motivation and strong interest in the program as outlined in a statement of purpose
  • A curriculum vitae
  • Two letters of recommendation.
