About

The incidence of respiratory disease has been increasing worldwide as we see an increase in allergies and as the world population gets older.

Why study this course with us?

You will receive training in the skills required in the reading and interpretation of the literature and translating that into evidence-based practice. We aim to develop your research and writing skills so that you will be in a position to contribute to the scientific literature in an effective manner.

The Respiratory Medicine programme offered by the University of Chester culminates in the Research Dissertation, which will be assessed through your production of two articles in the style of published scientific work.

The content of the course is mapped to the academic content of The Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board Speciality Training Curriculum for Respiratory Medicine.

If biomedical or clinical research is your interest, successful completion of the MSc will allow you to directly register onto PhD study and join our team of researchers at Chester Medical School.

            • We accept a wide range of qualifications and consider all applications individually on merit. We may also take into account appropriate work experience.
