Important aspects considered in the major Clinical Epidemiology include appraisal of bias in published clinical studies, the design of clinical studies, analysis of data from clinical studies, diagnostic and prognostic prediction, evaluating preventive and therapeutic interventions, and the translation of research findings to clinical practice. Results from clinical epidemiological research are used in patient management and health policy decisions.

- A relevant master's degree from a discipline related to clinical medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, health sciences, clinical technology, nutrition, (medical) biology, pharmacy, human movement sciences, psychology, health economics, etc. Please note: We do not consider a bachelor's degree as sufficient. Degrees obtained from universities outside of the Netherlands will be checked via Nuffic Opens externalto see if the level of the degree is equivalent to a Dutch Master’s degree.
- Relevant knowledge, insight and skills such as research skills, research experience, publications and statistical knowledge.
- Personal competences as demonstrated in your CV and motivation to participate in our research master program and starting a career in biomedical research. Academic performance and competences, based on your average grade and study progress will be taken into consideration as well.
- Sufficient command of the English language.
