The goal of the Financial Economics master’s program at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg  is to enable students to both recognize and analyze economic problems on an academic level.

The Financial Economics master’s program at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg  builds upon a strong basis in quantitative methods, econometrics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics during the first and second semesters. After which, students may specialize in either applied economics or applied finance.

Programme Structure

The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, methods and skills necessary for their future professional careers as economists, financial analysts, or managers, in both the private and public sectors, locally or internationally.
