The MA in Journalism at the Stellenbosch University is based on three possible structures as per the module description below. The programme is based on individual interaction between you and your lecturer, but attendance of two residential seminars in the first year of registration is compulsory. A thesis or research assignment must be done in one of the chosen elective modules.

What we offer

This is a taught Journalism master's programme at the Stellenbosch University requiring students to visit the Stellenbosch campus for the attendance of two series of block lectures. Students may make appointments for supervision in between. Students choose between coursework plus a 25% research assignment, or coursework plus a 50% thesis, or a 100% thesis.
