
Overview
The General Pharmacy Practice course at University of Greenwich provides the core skills and competencies to provide holistic pharmaceutical care in the practice setting. You'll develop key knowledge and skills in clinical pharmacy practice and medicine management plus the understanding needed to conduct effective consultations and to identify, prioritise and resolve complex pharmaceutical issues.
What you should know about this course
You begin the Postgraduate Certificate in March and attend eight learning sets over a period of 18 months. Most students who complete this transfer to the diploma.
The Postgraduate Diploma is made up of two six-month courses. On completing this, you also receive the Certificate of Completion of General Pharmacist Training from an accredited training centre.
The Master’s course is available to students who have completed the Diploma. Students gain expertise in research techniques and using data and will complete an NHS or university ethics application.
The certificate and diploma are commissioned by Health Education England London and the South East – Kent Surrey Sussex (HEE LaSE KSS) and are jointly delivered with the University of Brighton.

For those starting at Certificate stage, the work-based learning begins in January and university entry is in March of each year.
Anyone who has already obtained the Certificate can begin the Diploma in either March or October.

- Postgraduate Diploma: Completion of the PG Certificate General Pharmacy Practice.
