Overview

The goal of the International Master Program on Natural Hazards Mitigation and Management of the National Cheng Kung University is to promote the awareness of risk management and preparedness of civic defense, and further achieve the higher goal of corresponding education. Due to climate change, natural disasters occur around the world with a even stronger strength and at higher frequency. The damages of lives and properties become an eminent issue that cannot be ignored. To better cope with this situation, a strong background of inter-disciplined training and knowledge is necessary to prevent, prepare, and recover all the events related to the natural hazards.

Students at International Master Program on Natural Hazards Mitigation and Management of the National Cheng Kung University will:

gain the knowledge of management and prevention for various natural disaster

strengthen the abilities of disaster management and prevention policy formulation
