The graduate degree program is designed with a number of target audiences in mind:

Practicing elementary and secondary school teachers or teaching assistants who may or may not have an undergraduate degree in Education

Career changers who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives

University graduates who have no prior teaching experience and wish to pursue a graduate degree in education with the intention of working in fields related to education.

The M.Ed. is a research-based 36-credit hour professionally oriented program. Aligned with commonly recognized international standards, the program aims to provide the region with educators who are not only credentialed but highly qualified. Faculty and students work together to develop and deepen pride in the profession, cultural competence and a shared commitment to ethical practice.

An undergraduate degree from an accredited national or regional institutional body, achieving a 3.00 GPA or better in undergraduate study.
