JCU students complete core subjects to build on undergraduate knowledge and prepare to specialise in their chosen areas. Students can complete the Master of Education at James Cook University either by coursework with a single or double major, or a combination of coursework with a single major and minor thesis.

This 1.5 year full-time (or part-time equivalent) innovative master’s degree explores an array of processes, theories and practices across the broad areas of globalisation, leadership, and sustainability. Students gain knowledge and skills to apply their expertise across a range of contexts.

Students learn from an advanced curriculum based on well-developed principles and practices, and work with JCU's internationally-recognised experts.

  • An AQF level 7 Bachelor Degree in education, or
